About Mindy
Mindy is an expert listener.
She has a discerning ear and a keen ability to help people see what
they don't always see for themselves. These natural qualities led to
her 13-year career as a social worker and psychotherapist, helping
people navigate their life challenges. Mindy's background and
experience in social work proved to be a solid foundation for life
coaching, as she brought her thoughtful attention and a wealth of
resources to clients looking to make changes in their lives. Listening
with "a third ear of the heart," she is able to hear the feelings
beneath your words to help you get in touch with your authentic self
and to discover what you really want.
Mindy knows firsthand how powerful it is to make a life transition.
Turning 30 was a turning point for Mindy. She had dreamed of making a move from her home city of Chicago to the mountains of Colorado. Summoning up her courage, a sense of adventure and a good support network of friends and family, she relocated to Durango, a vibrant mountain town community in Southwest Colorado where she has lived since 2002. The new environment rekindled her love of nature, touched her spiritually, and helped her envision new possibilities. Within two years of her move, she established a strong community of friends and colleagues, trained for and ran her first marathon, and completed her coach training.
“Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Appreciate your friends. Continue to learn. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.”
- Mary Anne Radmacher
Coaching was a calling for Mindy.
The Monday after finishing her first marathon she began a year-long journey of self-exploration and study that resulted in her certification as a life coach the following fall. Mindy received her certification from the prestigious Institute for Life Coach Training studying under its founder, Dr. Pat Williams, a psychologist, master certified coach and pioneer in the field of coaching. Mindy discovered her joy and passion - coaching motivated individuals, business professionals, and small business owners toward realizing goals in their personal and professional lives. She thrives on watching her clients grow and succeed while enjoying their coaching.
Mindy is a loving, inspiring presence in the lives of her clients and participants in her trainings, workshops and retreats. People are attracted to her infectious vitality and passion for life, and the effect she has on their lives is nothing short of magic. Mindy's powerful style of coaching and facilitating combines tender compassion with hard-edged truth from the heart, all delivered with humor, humility, and joy. Mindy's love for those she works with is evident in everything she says and does, and that love seeps into people's lives in remarkable ways. - Michele Lisenbury Christensen, Co-Founder of Working With Power
Bridges Coaching was born.
Mindy founded Bridges Coaching, using the metaphor of coaching as a bridge to help her clients get from where they are to where they want to be. Like a sturdy bridge, Mindy's coaching provides support and structure so clients walk easily, step by step, to a new place in their lives. She walks side by side with her clients, powerfully coaching them to reach their desired "destination."
Transformed and satisfied clients are the result.
Clients frequently attribute meeting their goals to Mindy's coaching. Through her inspiring, practical work, clients discover untapped resources within themselves and take new actions with surprising ease. They tell Mindy she's a catalyst, a beacon of possibility, and a steadfast supporter of their best selves. One client said: "Having someone stand beside me and troubleshoot my challenges has made all the difference. The best result of coaching, however, has been getting to know myself and trust myself more. Changes are easier and easier to make. I feel like I am just starting to really live my own life!"
